The first issue of "Dokuchaev Soil Bulletin" was published in 1967. The journal publishes articles not only employees of the Institute, but also a wide range of experts in the field of Soil Science, Agrochemistry and Land Reclamation.

Articles are indexed in Russian Science Citation Index (Web of Science), and in Scopus.

Journal publish articles both in Russian, and in English language.

The journal is included in the list of HAC of Russian Federation of periodic scientific and technical publications, in which the publication of the main results of theses for the degree of doctor or candidate of sciences have to be published.
